If the metal is up to "standard" the form of the sword and especially the handguards should make them a match for any but most massive historical blade. Super happy I got it, its kinda heavy to. The tip of the sword is pointy, but rather poorly formed/crooked for mine atleast. i cant wait to sharpen this thing up to see what its actually capable of :D. I just had this sword delivered. Spartan Swords are 29 inches in all and include a scabbard. The handle was loose. it is awesome the best sword for cutting almost anything. However, I just do not have arm and shoulder strength for this sword. It came with a nice edge and fairly sharp but needs my own touch yet. The Spartan sword is short and single edged. At the end was a welded on bolt to hold the pommel on and there lay the problem of the main break. After it dried everything was fine, putting it through a few tests today. But don't worry, we've found a similar item that's ready to ship now.
