Cornstarch, sometimes referred to as cornflour, is a carbohydrate extracted from the endosperm of corn. The Masa Harina that I began with is commonly available in the Latin goods section of chains. This process leaves a distinct flavor that makes tortillas and tamales a tasty treat. In Mexico, Masa Harina is used more than cornstarch. Cheese *br> Chili powder. In fact, because masa harina is basically corn flour, it can be used as an ingredient in any recipe that includes corn.
